GENERAL QUESTIONS

Is MyClinic a non-profit organization?

MyClinic is an independent, not for profit, 501c3 organization.

Are all the services at MyClinic really free?

Medical and behavioral health services are provided free of charge to registered MyClinic patients.
Patients who require lab and imaging services may be referred to Jupiter Medical Center free of charge.
Certain medications may be available for free or at a reduced rate.
There may be times when specialized services, tests or treatments are not available for free.

 

Los servicios médicos y de salud conductual son gratuitos para los pacientes registrados de MyClinic.
Los pacientes que requieren servicios de laboratorio y de imágenes pueden ser referidos al Centro Médico Jupiter sin cargo. Ciertos medicamentos pueden estar disponibles de forma gratuita o a un precio reducido.

What types of medical conditions can you treat at the clinic?

MyClinic practitioners provide general primary care, behavioral health counseling and specialty care as available, either on site or by referral. See more in the section “MyClinic Services”.

Is MyClinic an Urgent Care Clinic? Can I come in for a emergency care?

No. MyClinic is just like a Primary Care doctor’s office and is truly a Medical Home. If you are experiencing a true medical emergency, please go to the nearest emergency department or call 911.

Can patients be seen if they have health insurance?

No. Patients who have health insurance including Medicare and/or Medicaid are not eligible for MyClinic services.

If you have Medicare/Medicaid /Shared Cost, you must go to your assigned physician to see a specialist.

Does MyClinic only serve residents of Jupiter?

MyClinic services are available to all residents of Palm Beach County.

Must patients make an appointment or can they walk in when the clinic is open?

Patients are seen by appointment.  Walk-ins may be accommodated only if space and staff are available.

Is MyClinic staffed with licensed health professionals?

Yes. Only medical professionals who are licensed by the State of Florida may volunteer at the clinic.

Does MyClinic provide any legal assistance?

MyClinic has partnered with the Legal Aid Society to refer patients for legal aid.

I don′t speak English. Do you have interpreters available?

Trained Spanish-English medical interpreters are available as needed.

PATIENT ELIGIBILITY QUESTIONS

What are the requirements to be seen at the clinic?

Residents (proof of address required) of Palm Beach County (3 years of age and over) must be uninsured and have Family Income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Please bring the following information to your Registration Appointment:

  1. ID card
  2. Proof of Address
  3. Proof of Income
  4. Medical History, if available
  5. Current medication list

Patients who do not meet these requirements may be referred to other appropriate providers.

 

Los residentes (se requiere comprobante de domicilio) del condado de Palm Beach (de 3 años de edad o más) no deben estar asegurados y tener ingresos familiares iguales o inferiores al 200% del nivel federal de pobreza.

How long will my appointment take?

Your appointment will take a minimum of 30 minutes. For Initial Patient Registration please allow at least 45 minutes up to 1 hour with additional time if you are being seen by a provider.

Do I make an appointment or can I just walk in when the clinic is open?

We strongly prefer that you make an appointment.  Please call us at 561-203-7511 to schedule one.

What if I need prescription medications?

We will provide you with a prescription and refer you to local pharmacies that offer the lowest priced option.
NOTE: MyClinic does not prescribe controlled substances.

Can I get birth control? What if I am pregnant?

Patients who require family planning services or maternity care are referred to PBC Health Department – Jupiter Auxiliary Health Center at 6405 W. Indiantown Road, Jupiter.

Los pacientes que requieren servicios de planificación familiar o atención de maternidad son referidos al Departamento de Salud de PBC – Centro de Salud Auxiliar de Jupiter en 6405 W. Indiantown Road, Júpiter.

What if I need to see a specialist through MyClinic.?

We will only refer patients to the available specialist through our VHCPP. We will make the appointment for the patients and send them with a Referral Form.

What if I need lab work or X-ray?

We provide referrals to Jupiter Medical Center for free lab and imaging as well as mammograms for our registered patients.  We provide once a month free mammogram screenings to registered patients.

Damos referencias al Jupiter Medical Center para obtener imágenes y análisis de laboratorio gratuitos, así como mamografías para nuestros pacientes registrados.

How long will it take to get my lab or x-ray results back? How will I be notified?

Your lab results will be available within 2-3 days. A MyClinic representative will notify the patients unpon the arrival of their results and schedule a follow-up appointment to return for results and diagnosis. Any critical values will be communicated to patient to move up appointment date and to be seen by a physician earlier if needed.

 

Los resultados de laboratorio estarán disponibles dentro de 2-3 días. Un representante de MyClinic notificará a los pacientes antes de la llegada de sus resultados y programará una cita de seguimiento para regresar para obtener resultados y diagnóstico. VOLUNTEERING QUESTIONS

What volunteer positions are currently available?

We are constantly looking for primary care doctors, specialist doctors, nurses, ARNP’s, PA’s, Scribes and Interpreters.

How do I start volunteering?

Please contact MyClinic at 561 203 7511 for more information regarding the application process.  While volunteer hours are flexible,  please consider that we expect volunteers to be able to commit for at least 6 months. We look forward to meeting you!

What type of malpractice coverage do I need to volunteer?

Sovereign immunity protection is provided by the State of Florida-Volunteer Health Care Provider Program. For more information, see:

How is the operation of the clinic funded?

As a FREE CLINIC, MyClinic relies on support from our generous donors and grant funders to sustain patient care activities and capital needs.

Do you accept donations?

YES of course! Please see our donation platform HERE.
You can also send a check to our address at 411 W. Indiantown Rd., 33458 Jupiter.

Do you take donations like medication or medical supplies?

MyClinic cannot accept donated medication. Certain medical supplies may be accepted. Please call us first at 561 203 7511 to confirm.

Would you be able to come and speak to my group/organization about MyClinic?

Yes. We also encourage all donors to reach out to us to schedule a meeting. You can also tour our clinic to learn more about how MyClinic makes a difference in the community.
