MyClinic Jupiter May 2020 News Update

Dear MyClinic Friends and Supporters,

We hope you and your family are well during this unprecedented public health emergency. MyClinic has important good news to share with our community.

Stopping the Spread of COVID-19
We are proud to report that MyClinic is taking an active role in public health efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

MyClinic is now working in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Health Department in the area of Contact Tracing for COVID patients. This includes reaching out to MyClinic COVID-19 patients and their close contacts for the purpose of disseminating COVID-related information and sharing CDC guidelines for monitoring and quarantine as well as referrals for testing and other assistance to support their recovery.
Virtual Visits
In response to COVID-19 pandemic challenges, MyClinic has successfully shifted to a virtual mode of operation, assuring the availability of tele-health assessments, Rx refills, and providing information about local resources and referrals for our most vulnerable neighbors. This would not have been possible without the dedication and flexibility of our staff and volunteers who have made direct phone contact with over 1000 patients to date.
Each patient is assessed and referrals are made for COVID-19 testing, food insecurity, rent/utilities assistance, legal aid, and family support in collaboration with several important community partners.

Behavioral Health services continue to be provided by MyClinic’s Behavioral Health Counselor, with 440+ tele-health visits and wellness checks to date.
Building Fund Progress MyClinic
Keeping patients informed and outreach to local businesses
Language appropriate COVID-19 related information is sent several times a week to over 2,000 MyClinic patients via our mass text message platform.
Additional outreach efforts include phone contacts with 160+ local businesses letting them know that MyClinic remains ready to care for our community, especially in light of continued economic challenges.
Thank You For Your Support!

Many of you have reached out, either personally or through affiliated foundations, to offer additional support as we face unknown future challenges and MyClinic is SO appreciative! We are currently assessing the need for PPE and other protective measures that will enable our staff and volunteers to resume in-person operations as well as expanding telehealth capacity.

We are also creating a process for addressing social determinant of health issues related to access to care and improved health outcomes for vulnerable members of our community while preparing for uncertainty in terms of future donations and funding in light of economic instability.

At MyClinic, we firmly believe that now, more than ever, if we embrace and support ALL of our neighbors, we will re-emerge as a stronger community.

On behalf of our board, staff, dedicated volunteers and the patients we served, I thank you for your continued support and wish you and your family good health,

Dr. Ron Surowitz,

MyClinic Board Chair

When there are 5 working adults in a household that share all expenses and 3 are suddenly unable to work due to sickness or unemployment, the financial burden and emotional stress become huge.

MyClinic staff and volunteer medical providers are here to help families overcome this difficult illness and guide them to much improved health. We provide health checks, information about testing and CDC guidelines for patients and their contacts, referrals for food and rent assistance through our network of community supporters. – Diane Williams, MyClinic Program Manager
“I am very thankful for the assistance provided by MyClinic and for the referrals to community agencies that assisted me when I needed it the most. I’m feeling much stronger now that I’ve been diagnosed and getting treatment.”
– Patient M.
